SPRING 2021 CHALLENGE TOPIC

Anti-fouling, anti-scale, anti-corrosion coatings, materials and technology 

Our Corporate partners are seeking innovative solutions to reduce scale, corrosion, and fouling for pipes, tanks, valves and other equipment that comes in contact with water. Solutions are sought for the following types of potential applications:

• Cooling towers and systems
• Water and wastewater piping in buildings
• Boilers and water circulation systems

Key success criteria include the following:

• Durable/long lasting
• Low cost
• Energy efficient
• Non-toxic to humans
• Adherent to common ferritic/austenitic/duplex stainless steel materials
• Operating temperature capability up to 450°
